Privacy Policy for Trotly

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Trotly ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Trotly, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who We Are

Trotly is developed by Trang Tran ("the developer"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at tranthutrang1985@gmail.com.

2. Information the App Accesses

Trotly is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information.

a. Location Data

Trotly uses your device's location (GPS) to measure your walking and running speed, distance, and route metrics during a workout. Location is used while the app is in use and, if you grant permission, in the background so tracking can continue when the screen is off or the app is not active. Location data is processed on your device to power the live metrics and your activity history.

b. Bluetooth

Trotly uses Bluetooth to detect and connect to headphones or speakers so it can play motivational sounds and ambiance during your workout. Trotly does not use Bluetooth to collect information about you or nearby devices.

c. Activity History

Your workouts (such as time, distance, speed, and date) are stored locally on your device so you can view your progress on the dashboard.

d. Optional Usage Data

The app includes optional, clearly labeled settings that let you choose whether to share anonymized usage data for marketing and for product and service improvement purposes. These settings are off by default where applicable, and you can change them at any time in the app's About / Privacy settings. If you do not enable them, no such data is shared.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

We do not use your data for advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Sharing

Trotly does not share your personal information with third parties, except:

5. Data Retention

Activity history remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Trotly removes locally stored activity data from your device.

6. Your Choices and Controls

7. Children's Privacy

Trotly is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed by the app. Because your activity data is stored locally, securing your device (for example, with a passcode or biometric lock) helps protect your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
